The Procedure
LA Lift® is performed using local anesthesia as opposed to general anesthesia. During the procedure you are awake allowing you to work with Dr. Keefe to achieve your ultimate result. Your recovery is shorter than traditional facelift surgery, and you will feel better much more quickly without having undergone general anesthesia. You can return to most daily activities within 48 hours. Strenuous activities require a slightly longer delay.
You should experience little if any pain during the LA Lift® procedure. After the procedure, you may have some bruising and swelling. Patients report minimal discomfort and pain post procedure. If needed, medication for discomfort will be prescribed. Depending on the type of procedure, patients find they are able to return to work from 3-5 days after surgery.
For face and neck lifts, the incision is hidden in the hair or behind the ear. A short incision may also be required in a natural crease underneath the chin if access is necessary for that area of the neck.
